Bridging Research and Reality: Balancing Foundational Skills Instruction in the Classroom

BridgeResearch-Reality-600x343

Join Alisa VanHekken, Chief Academic Officer, and Alana Mangham, Director of Curriculum Development at Heggerty, as they help to sift through the latest research on reading instruction and share strategies for providing explicit and systematic foundational skills instruction for your classroom.

By watching this webinar you learn practical instructional strategies to engage and support a reluctant reader toward becoming a skilled reader by bridging phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, and phonics to early reading. Viewers learn strategies that they can immediately implement in their classrooms that support the word recognition strand of Scarborough’s Reading Rope.

This webinar is intended for educators who work with children in Pre-K through 2nd-grade classrooms, in whole group, small group, or 1:1 settings.
